I am thankful for the new experience of brining our turkey. We don’t usually have problems with overly dry breast meat anyway, but we thought it would be cool to brine anyway. Here is the turkey, pellicle developed, ready to go.
Well, we plowed through that Cranberry Sandwich Bread I made recently, so I thought I’d try a variation on a theme. I thought that it would probably be even better if the bread itself tasted like stuffing.
I spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning either baking or cooking or cleaning in preparation for the party we had for Julia on Sunday. Someday when I'm rich (hahahahaha) I would like to pay someone else to clean for me. I don't like cleaning. I don't mind laundry, or all the cooking and baking. But vacuuming? Ugh.
Anyway.
Oh - and this will be random thoughts because I no longer remember the order of everything. I suppose I could consult my lists, but they're in the other room and I prefer sitting in this chair to getting up right now.
My kids sometimes watch iCarly. Which, if you haven't heard of this show, is where the idea for these tacos came from. Carly's older brother, Spencer, came up with the idea, apparently.
Anyway, Alex and Julia had been requesting spaghetti tacos for some time, and so I finally made some.
