I was about to write about how I'm roasting a turkey breast, which was an impulse decision this morning while I was at the grocery store just picking up basic things we were running low on, like coffee, milk, and cat litter.
I was walking through the produce section, in search of mushrooms (to saute tonight and serve on the burgers we're having...mmmm...and caramelized onions, too.......mmmmmm), and I saw something - which I will refer to as "Ingredient X" now, because it was that item - not even an ingredient, really, no, it was an item. so - Item X. Anyway, I saw it and suddenly an idea popped into my head about something fun to do with Thanksgiving leftovers. Hopefully nobody out there is reading my mind so they can post it first. I should have studied harder at Occlumency.
Anyway. So now I'm roasting a turkey breast. We're having Thankgsiving at my Mom's, so the turkey will be there, and there's no telling how much (if any) will be available for people to take home (under false protest). I need to have PLENTY, I tell you!
But I'm getting way off track here.
I was about to type all that, plus some other babbling stuff, and then I just stopped (sometimes the voices in my mind are very adamant about things) and got my camera, and started prowling around the house, taking pictures.
Of what? Well...of my life. My life right at this moment. Or these moments. This afternoon. Now, while there's an impromtu turkey breast in the oven and Pilgrim cake (I'll explain that in another post) cooling nearby, and paper slurry in bowls here and there, and little papery things drying out in the other room...
And so, without further chatter, I give you these images.
I could ramble on and on about each one, about WHY it was included, what's in the picture that means something to me, WHY I'm grateful, thankful, about whatever IT is...
But I'm not going to.
I don't need to explain it all, I think.
I believe you, my fabulous, awesome readers out there, all over the planet, I believe you will understand.
Thank you, all of you, for following along here.
