Broken Neck

This morning, after Julia and I dropped Alex off at school, we pulled into the driveway and I looked over to see if this had bloomed yet.  It hadn't...and it looked...thinner.  So I went over to look...and this bud was on the ground, snapped right off the stem.

I've got it propped up on some folded paper towel with a little hole in the center for the stem stub, all in a little tiny bowl of water. 

I'm hoping it'll bloom.
